The Vice President - Investor Relations will provide transaction and analytical support related to the solicitation and closing of the Company’s LIHTC investments. This role will support both multi-investor fund and proprietary fund formats.
· Assist with tracking multi-fund property pipeline and presentation of prospective properties to CRA-motivated multi-fund investors
· Assist with multi-fund projections, investor-specific benefit schedules, and assist with the preparation of fund marketing materials
· Assist with fundraising efforts (distribute marketing materials, follow-up calls / meetings with investors, etc.)
· Assist with overseeing the property-level review and presentation process (3rd party engagement, deal assignments, internal review process, distribution to investors)
· Coordinate investor needs, questions, and requests, including: the investor grid process (assignment, review, and distribution), site visits, sponsor diligence / meeting, fund-level and property-level questions, etc.
· Assist with preparation of fund closing materials (final benefit schedules, final fund projections, and initial capital call)
· Post-fund closing, track the remaining deals to close into multi funds and coordinate / send investor consent packages
· Pipeline / relationship management of 1-3 proprietary relationship(s)
· Assist with preparing and / or reviewing initial deal screen presentation packages for proposal investor
· Assist with the preparation of fund summaries and corresponding benefit schedules as needed throughout the closing process
· Assist with assembling and reviewing the investment materials and due diligence packages to help facilitate an investor site visit, investor committee package, and/or deal closing
· Liaise across internal departments (Acquisitions, Portfolio Management, Credit) to assist with answering deal specific or general investor questions
· Establish and maintain good working relationships with investors of affordable housing
· Establish and maintain good working relationships with fellow colleagues
· Assist project teams with special projects as needed
· Undergraduate degree with a preference of a BS in Finance, Accounting , Economics, Real Estate or Urban Planning; further preference of experience with real estate underwriting
· Five years of industry experience
o Ideally, 2-3 years directly related experience
· Experience and high level of understanding of financial modeling in Excel required
· Knowledge of real estate terminology and concepts required
· Knowledge of LIHTC required, knowledge of community development lending a plus
