This is an exempt supervisory position which is essential to the Finance Department and requires the highest level of attention to detail and accuracy. The Financial Controller plays a critical role in overseeing the organization’s accounting operations. This position is responsible for producing accurate and timely financial transaction completion, maintaining comprehensive accounting records, ensuring adherence to budgets, preparation of standardized reports for various aspects of the Agency programs, and implementing controls to mitigate risk. This role requires a strong understanding of financial regulations, government agency accounting, fund accounting, and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to support the organization’s mission effectively.
