Job Description

Responsibilities: 

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and corporate credit card reconciliations
  • Manage loan schedules, account reconciliations and journal entries to support the month, quarter-end and year-end close process for several entities
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements verifying the accuracy of the general ledger
  • Review intercompany eliminations for quarterly consolidated financial statements
  • Manage standardization of quarterly/monthly property financials by uploading financials in software from several management companies
  • Create invoices and manage collections of expenses charged back to properties
  • Assist in compiling and standardizing financials distributed in quarterly investor reports
  • Reconcile draft closing statement to reimbursable pursuit costs prior to closing a deal
  • Assist management companies with opening journal entries
  • Provide support and ultimately take on ownership of property level audits and tax returns
  • File 1099s after close of the fiscal year
  • Responsible for managing any ad-hoc projects as needed
  • The ability to prioritize assignments and effectively manage their time
  • The ability to be a team player but be able to work independently

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2+ years of experience working in the field of accounting or finance
  • Highly skilled with QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Strong accounting, organizational and analytical skills
  • Ultra-high attention to detail, problem solver & intellectually curious
  • Ability to handle shifting and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making, interpersonal and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and successfully meet deadlines
  • Ability to read/interpret limited partnership agreements, loan documents and regulatory agreements
